Jarian N. Lyons is an Attorney in The Morgan Law Group’s Personal Injury department. He has a wealth of experience in multiple areas of personal injury law including, but not limited to car and motorcycle accidents, wrongful death, premises liability and defective consumer products.
His passion for personal injury law developed in 2002 after his 24-year-old cousin died of a heart condition due to a lack of proper medical attention. It was at that moment that Jarian decided to pursue his law degree to help those that have been injured due to no fault of their own and have unexpectedly lost loved ones like Attorney Lyons.
After completing law school, Jarian’s legal career began in Tallahassee, Florida. Jarian worked zealously for clients that experienced significant unexpected losses ranging from trucking accidents, police shootings, tire tread separations, child drownings and infant crib deaths. Jarian’s investigation into an eight-month old infant’s crib death assisted the Consumer Products Safety Commission in the recall of over 985,000 drop-side baby cribs. To date ensuring the safety of innocent babies is still one of Jarian’s proudest moments as an attorney.
Jarian also led the Mass Tort Department at a previous firm. He worked extensively in pharmaceutical drug litigation matters in Multidistrict Litigation involving harmful prescription drugs such as Avandia, Baycol, Bextra, Celebrex, Fosamax, Heparin, Vioxx and Zyprexa.
From 2013-2016, Jarian worked as a presuit attorney for where he worked to recover over 4.5 million dollars for clients injured in car and motorcycle accidents.
Jarian has had the privilege of being able to provide clients with individualized quality focused representation versus a “one size fits all approach.” This way of practicing law has not only been professionally fulfilling but has simultaneously led to large financial awards and settlements for clients.
Jarian is a native of Pensacola, Florida and graduated from Woodham High School where he received a Florida Bright Futures Scholarship to attend college. Jarian is a three-time graduate of Florida A & M University, earning his Bachelor of Science with honors in Political Science in 2002; a Masters in Applied Social Sciences in 2003; and his J.D. from the Florida A&M College of Law in May of 2006. Jarian was a member of the second graduating class since the re-establishment of FAMU’s law school in 2002. While in law school, Jarian was a member of the Jesse McCrary Chapter of the Black Law Students Association and served as Parliamentarian of the Student Bar Association from 2003-2004. Jarian was also a Certified Legal Intern with the Orange County Public Defender’s Office and assisted indigent clients with various landlord-tenant disputes through the FAMU Housing Clinic.
Jarian credits his desire for excellence and focus to his mother, who often worked two jobs during his youth and encouraged him to be involved in a myriad of after school activities including varsity basketball and the performing arts. Jarian previously served as a Board Member of the Florida Justice Association and was a member of the Legal Services of North Florida Founders of Justice Society. In 2019, Jarian was appointed as member of The Florida A&M University College of Law Dean’s Advisory Council. Jarian is also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and the FAMU National Alumni Association Greater Orlando Chapter. When Jarian is not representing clients, he enjoys attending sporting events, attending church and spending time with his wife and children.
